- FREE Rapid KL Shuttle - Merdeka Day Celebration At Putrajaya
Rapid KL has announced the provision of a complimentary shuttle bus service for attendees of this year's Merdeka Day 2023 celebration in Putrajaya. The free bus service will begin on August 31st at 4am, coinciding with the opening hours of the LRT, MRT, and KL Monorail stations.
Rapid KL welcomes all attendees, to take advantage of the free shuttle bus service and explore the Federal Government's Administrative Centre. To meet the different demands of guests, four distinct bus routes have been designed, each with its own operation schedule and intervals.
- MS01: This route will operate continuously from 4am to 2pm, running non-stop from MRT Putrajaya Sentral to Dataran Putrajaya, with buses departing every 5 minutes.
- MS02: From 8am to 7pm, the MS02 route will connect MRT Putrajaya Sentral to Kompleks Nasyrul Quran, Presint 14, making stops at various points of interest. Buses will run every 15 minutes, with stops at Taman Botani Putrajaya, Vine Garden, Laman Kelulut, Taman Etnobotani, Pusat Rekreasi Air, Putrajaya Wetland Park, The Everly, Shaftsbury, Alamanda Shopping Centre, Taman Warisan Pertanian, Cruise Tasik, Putrajaya Water Safety Park, and Kelab Tasik Putrajaya.
- MS03: Operating from 8am to 7pm, this route covers the journey from MRT Putrajaya to Marina Putrajaya, stopping at key locations such as Taman Sri Empangan, Dataran Jerumbun, Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Kompleks Sukan Air, Double Tree Hotel, and Taman Rekreasi Lebuh Sentosa. Buses will run at 15-minute intervals.
- MS04: Similar to MS01, MS04 provides a non-stop service, running from Putrajaya International Convention Centre’s Main Lobby to Jalan Tun Hussein at Presint 3. The service will commence at 4am and continue until 2pm, with buses departing every 10 minutes.
Those wanting to attend the National Day 2023 celebrations in Putrajaya are strongly urged to park their vehicles at their closest stations and use the train. Most roads will be blocked off to the public during the event, including Persiaran Perdana from Dataran Putra, Lebuh Wawasan, Lebuh Bestari, Lebuh Saujana leading to Persiaran Perdana, Jalan Pembangunan from Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, and Jalan Pemodernan.
