Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong today jointly signed a plaque symbolising both nations' shared dedication to ensure the success of the RTS Link project.

The ceremony took place at the pivotal juncture of the marine viaduct project connecting Johor Bahru and Singapore. Said project has now reached a 65% completion as of Dec 31, 2023.

Also present at the signing ceremony was Transport Minister Anthony Loke, Singapore Acting Minister for Transport Chee Hong Tat, and Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

The 4 KM-long RTS Link project connects the commuter train network between stations at Bukit Chagar, Johor and Woodlands North, Singapore. The train network is designed to accommodate up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction with a travel duration of approximately 5 minutes.
