- Check Out The New MG4 & ZS EV at MG Malaysia’s Roadshows
You can check out the new MG4 EV at MG Motor Malaysia’s nationwide roadshow starting this Feb 29.
In case you missed it, Sino-British marque MG Motor is returning to Malaysia this year by bringing in two upcoming EV models, the MG4 and MG ZS. Ahead of its official market entry, you can check out these two new EVs firsthand at MG Motor Malaysia’s roadshow and special dealer showroom events.
Starting from Feb 29 (Thursday) to Mar 4 (Monday), 2024, MG Motor Malaysia will make its first public appearance at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur mall. Meanwhile, the special dealer roadshow starts at MG Motor Melaka’s showroom at Seong Hoe Motors Sdn Bhd, C-5137 Jalan Penghulu Abas, Bukit Baru, Melaka, from Mar 3 (Sunday) to 5 (Tuesday).
The roadshow continues to the southern Peninsula Malaysia region at the MG Motor Plentong showroom from Mar 7 (Thursday) to 10 (Sunday), followed by the MG Motor Muar showroom from Mar 12 (Tuesday) to 14 (Thursday). The special dealer roadshow will be concluded at the MG Motor Seremban showroom between Mar 16 (Saturday) to 19 (Monday).
The MG4 EV will arrive in no less than four variants for the Malaysian market, including the top-specced MG4 XPower AWD.
A quick guide on both the MG4 and ZS, the former is offered in four variants for the Malaysian market, namely the MG4 Standard, MG4 Lux, MG4 Lux Extended Range, and the MG4 XPower. The latter variant boasts the peppiest dual-motor AWD setup.
Rated at 435 PS (320 kW) and 600 NM, this setup allows for a quick 0-100 KM/H sprint time of only 3.8 seconds. Meanwhile, the MG4 Lux Extended Range gets the highest WLTP range of 520 KM, courtesy of its 77-kWh battery setup.
Only one variant of the MG ZS EV will be offered for the Malaysian market.
On the other hand, the ZS EV only comes in one variant locally, and it’s the one primed with a 51.1-kWh battery pack that juices the single, front-mounted (FWD) electric motor setup rated at 176 PS (130 kW) and 280 NM. Century sprint time reads at a decent eight seconds, while its WLTP range is capped at 320 KM.
Besides the MG4 and ZS, we’ve previously reported that MG Motor Malaysia is also planning to bring two more models into our market this year. This includes the sporty Cyberster EV roadster and the new MG3 hatchback, the latter of which recently made its debut at the ongoing 2024 Geneva International Motor Show.
Customers can now place a booking for both the MG4 and ZS EV, with prices starting from RM104,000.
Order books for both the MG4 and ZS EVs are now open, with tentative prices starting at RM104,000 for the former and RM129,000 for the latter model. Those who are keen to place an order can visit any nearby MG Motor showroom or visit MG Motor Malaysia’s official website to learn more.
