The MG4 EV will arrive in no less than four variants for the Malaysian market, including the top-specced MG4 XPower AWD.

A quick guide on both the MG4 and ZS, the former is offered in four variants for the Malaysian market, namely the MG4 Standard, MG4 Lux, MG4 Lux Extended Range, and the MG4 XPower. The latter variant boasts the peppiest dual-motor AWD setup.

Rated at 435 PS (320 kW) and 600 NM, this setup allows for a quick 0-100 KM/H sprint time of only 3.8 seconds. Meanwhile, the MG4 Lux Extended Range gets the highest WLTP range of 520 KM, courtesy of its 77-kWh battery setup.

Only one variant of the MG ZS EV will be offered for the Malaysian market.

On the other hand, the ZS EV only comes in one variant locally, and it’s the one primed with a 51.1-kWh battery pack that juices the single, front-mounted (FWD) electric motor setup rated at 176 PS (130 kW) and 280 NM. Century sprint time reads at a decent eight seconds, while its WLTP range is capped at 320 KM.

Besides the MG4 and ZS, we’ve previously reported that MG Motor Malaysia is also planning to bring two more models into our market this year. This includes the sporty Cyberster EV roadster and the new MG3 hatchback, the latter of which recently made its debut at the ongoing 2024 Geneva International Motor Show.
