The MRT Putrajaya Line experienced a service disruption this morning between the Taman Naga Emas and Sungai Besi stations due to a trespassing incident.

In an official statement, @askrapidkl or Rapidrail reported that the disruption was caused by an individual trespassing onto the railway tracks at Taman Naga Emas and Sungai Besi stations at 4.56am.

Rapid Rail's auxiliary police officers were dispatched to the scene in a timely manner by Rapid KL, the operator of the MRT Putrajaya Line. The staff found the intruder right away and reported the incident to the Operations Control Center (OCC).

The affected area's power supply was promptly turned off to protect passenger safety and aid in the intruder's capture.

Then, at 6:30 a.m., a rescue team made up of members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, and medical personnel arrived at Taman Naga Emas Station. At 7:11 a.m., the intruder was successfully removed from the railroad tracks and placed under arrest.
Rapid Rail provided complimentary feeder buses at the Kuchai and Serdang Raya Utara stations as well as an alternate rail service during this time. The OCC was required by SOPs and safety concerns to inspect the track before resuming power. At 7.36 am, the MRT Putrajaya Line started operating normally again.

Expressing regret for the inconvenience to commuters, Rapid Rail promised that it would improve safety protocols to avert such incidents in the future.
