- Proton Contributes Books, Cash To Tanjung Malim School
The national automaker PROTON authorized a RM10,000 Zakat fund to improve the surau facilities at school premises and donated a sizable collection of books to SMK Proton City in Tanjong Malim.
The donation, which included literature and reference books among other types of educational materials showcases its significant initiatives that will positively impact education and community welfare.
According to Roslan Abdullah, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PROTON, the carmaker wants to encourage students and support their academic journey towards self-discovery and the pursuit of their future careers by giving them access to a greater selection of books.
“PROTON will continue to dedicate itself to its corporate social responsibility activities and its mission to drive positive change in the communities where we operate. By investing in education and community welfare, we aspire to empower individuals, uplift communities, and build a brighter future for generations to come,” added Roslan.
The principal of SMK Proton City, Zalina Ahmad, acknowledged the important influence PROTON's support will have on their educational programs and expressed her gratitude for it.
