- Subaru Planning On A New-Generation EyeSight System
Subaru Corporation has joined efforts with Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) to develop a new-generation EyeSight system.
This collaboration will see new system-on-chip (SoC) circuits, which integrates stereo camera recognition processing with AI inference.
The new design will be based on the California-based company’s recently launched AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 adaptive SoC.
Notably, this is to achieve cutting-edge AI performance and ultra-low latency processing at a low cost.
According to Subaru, it plans to incorporate this new technology into its next-gen EyeSight system in the second half of the 2020s.
That being said, this collaboration is in line with Subaru’s goal of “Zero Fatal Road Accidents In 2030”.
