Batik Air Fleets Kia EV9 & Carnival for Exclusive Terminal Transfer Service
Batik Air has fleeted both the Kia EV9 and Carnival for its new exclusive terminal transfer service in KLIA.
Batik Air has announced a new partnership with Korean automaker Kia through its sole distributor, Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, to fleet out several new Kia models for its new exclusive terminal transfer service.
Both the Kia EV9 (left) & Carnival MPV (right) will be used in this exclusive terminal transfer services.
Business-class passengers of Batik Air will be chauffeured in the new Kia EV9 all-electric SUV and the Carnival MPV between the Main Terminal building and the Satellite Building of the KLIA Terminal 1 airport. With the pick-up point located at Gate G1 of the Main Terminal Building, passengers can look forward to a bespoke experience with this terminal transfer service, which ensures individualised transportation without the hassle of sharing rides.
This service is an exclusive offering for Batik Air Business Class passengers, supplementing the existing bus transfer provided by Malaysia Airports (MAHB) due to the temporary suspension of the aerotrain service.

Commenting on this newly-formed partnership, Batik Air CEO Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy said, “We are delighted to join forces with Kia, a leader in sustainable automotive solutions, to offer this exceptional service to our Business Class passengers. Utilising the all-electric Kia EV9 highlights our commitment to sustainability and delivering premium services to our passengers.”
“Batik Air is taking proactive steps to reduce the environmental impact while ensuring our Business Class passengers enjoy unparalleled comfort and luxury. This initiative aligns perfectly with our long-term vision of achieving a more sustainable future in aviation,” he added.
Meanwhile, Kia Asia Pacific president Kevin Ahn said that the partnership with Batik Air aligned with Kia's corporate vision of Plan S and their commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, with the automaker visioning to become a leader in sustainable mobility and extend beyond the provision of zero-emission EV drivetrains.
“Created to meet the needs of all family members, the EV9 also spearheads Kia’s rapid transition to sustainable mobility solutions, not just through its advanced EV architecture but also through the numerous recycled and sustainable materials used in its creation,” he said.
