The resurgence of the Peugeot brand under Stellantis Malaysia marks another major turning point. Earlier today, the automaker inked a new collaboration agreement with one of Malaysia’s longest-running auto dealership firms known as Cycle & Carriage - a firm best known for its chain of Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
Through said collaboration agreement, it sees Cycle & Carriage adding Peugeot into its portfolio of brands. The move is also a result of Stellantis Malaysia’s on-going expansion efforts for the renowned French silver lion marque.

”We are thrilled to welcome our dealer partner to our growing network. This is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and expanding our reach to better serve our valued customers,” expressed Jamie Francis Morais, Managing Director of Stellantis Malaysia.
”We truly believe that existing and future customers will greatly benefit from this partnership, offering easy access to a wider range of quality products based on their needs and quality service even after point of purchase,” adds Thomas Tok, CEO of Cycle & Carriage - a firm that boasts a 125-year heritage.
Both execs were present to announce this partnership earlier today at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. In the signing ceremony and ensuing press conference, both execs also shed more light into the initial efforts borne out of this new collaboration.
As a start, Cycle & Carriage's existing Cheras (left) and Batu Caves (right) branches will soon house dedicated Peugeot brand 1S and 2S outlet spaces respectively. These are set to be operational by Q4 this year.
Further expansion nationwide is also planned, with Jamie also revealing plans to have a Peugeot brand space at Cycle & Carriage's Georgetown branch (pictured) established sometime next year (2025).
As a start, Cycle & Carriage will see both their Cheras and Batu Caves branches house dedicated Peugeot brand 1S and 2S outlets housed under their respective roofs. Both spaces are set to be operational within the final quarter (Q4) of this year, with further expansion nationwide planned.
The latter includes expansion into both the northern and southern corridors of Peninsular Malaysia starting next year (2025). Amongst them includes establishing a new Peugeot brand space at Cycle & Carriage’s Georgetown branch in Penang, revealed both Thomas and Jamie earlier today.

“With a history of representing multiple automotive brands, we are excited to once again showcase further growth as a brand and look forward to serving Malaysians better in the near future with this expansion,” Thomas continued further.
This latest collaboration with Cycle & Carriage aligns with Stellantis Malaysia’s on-going mission to grow its nationwide network, with a target of 30 outlets operational be end of this year as detailed by Jamie in a recent interview.
Apart from the Peugeot brand, Stellantis Malaysia is poised to introduce the Leapmotor electric vehicle (EV) marque – an upstart new China-rooted brand that Stellantis co-owns and possess a 51% stake in – sometime in Q4 this year as well.
