- BMW Set To Showcase ‘Panoramic iDrive’ Tech At CES 2025 Expo
BMW is reportedly poised to showcase its novel new 'Panoramic iDrive' display tech at the upcoming CES 2025 electronics and digital tech expo.
The annual 2025 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) tech and electronics expo is set to open its doors in Las Vegas very soon. Like before, the expo sees several major automakers present to showcase its latest tech for their current and upcoming models.
Amongst them is BMW, and the Bavarian marque is reportedly set to showcase a production version of its new ‘Panoramic iDrive’ tech here. This new infotainment and instrumentation concept bring “a clear focus on driver orientation, safety and personalisation,” claims BMW.

Comedian Tim Meadows will be hosting the press conference for BMW at CES 2025. In this image, we can see a somewhat obscure outlook of the 'Panoramic iDrive' behind.
Whilst the firm has released several teaser images of said new tech, much of it remains obscure at present. Instead, BMW elected to confirm that renowned comedian Tim Meadows will host the marque’s press conference at CES 2025.
Nevertheless, the early design concepts shown through the Neue Klasse concept cars has already given many an idea of what to expect. Key to which is its approach in presenting a single, centrally-positioned floating display – a common trait in many electric vehicles (EVs) today.
Above which too sits another instrument display that spans the windscreen’s full width, and this is what led to the tech’s dubbing as ‘Panoramic iDrive’. Here, contents can be personalised via the central touchscreen mounted in the dash mentioned prior.
The Panoramic iDrive promises to bring clear focus on driver orientation, safety, and personalisation, says BMW.
Expect more details once said new ‘Panoramic iDrive’ display tech is revealed in full at CES 2025, which runs from Jan 8 to Jan 11 2025.
As a refresher, BMW revealed the Vision Neue Klasse concept EV saloon back in Sept 2023 followed by a lifted, crossover SUV offshoot of which called the Vision Neue Klasse X in March 2024.
Both concepts harness BMW’s latest sixth-gen eDrive EV drive architecture that promises 30% more range, 30% quicker charging, and 25% greater efficiency versus its current EV offerings. BMW is poised to debut a production version sometime in the second half (H2) of 2025 too.
