Launched in Malaysia last week, the Denza D9 EV MPV arrived locally in two flavours - a base Advanced FWD priced at RM259,000, followed by a Premium AWD slotted above tagged at RM309,000.

However, at launch, Denza Malaysia skirted away from fully revealing details of the model’s complete warranty and after-sales coverage. Thankfully, after some crafty sleuthing, Carz.com.my managed to obtain full warranty details from a Denza dealer - details that are still not published on Denza Malaysia’s website and social media pages yet.

Firstly, the base vehicle warranty coverage lasts over a six-year or 150,000 KM span. Secondly, the high-voltage EV battery gets a separate coverage lasting over an eight-year or 160,000 KM. Whilst on the EV battery still, it also comes with a one-to-one replacement scheme should its state-of-health (SoH) drops below 70% during the warranty period stated.

Lastly comes a warranty covering both the electric motor and control unit, and this also lasts across an 8-year or 150,000 KM span instead. Given industry norms, this was all expected - certain high-voltage components get separate coverage terms, typically within the eight-year or 150,000 KM span noted.

Full details of the warranty can be viewed in the images below:

In addition to the standard warranty, Denza Malaysia also announced that local customers also benefit with a unique tri-nation cross-border after-sales and  warranty coverage. This first-of-its-kind initiative covers Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

In the event of a breakdown, local service teams will handle repairs efficiently, ensuring the vehicle remains in optimal condition. Denza Malaysia has also implemented a system that links service records across borders, preventing issues related to lost maintenance history or inconsistent service quality.

The warranty follows local pricing standards, ensuring transparency with no unexpected fees or hidden charges. Denza also provides roadside assistance and premium customer support across all three countries, making long-distance travel more convenient.

The company has already established a strong network of dealers and service centers to support this initiative, ensuring help is always within reach.
