Selangor JPJ officers discovered around 15 abandoned lorries at the Saujana Putra toll plaza on the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) during Ops Paras at approximately 11 am on Thursday, May 29.

The drivers, thought to be carrying excessive loads, fled upon sight of the roadblock. Sinar Harian noted at least four of these tipper lorries were left with their engines running. Authorities suspect the drivers were foreign nationals trying to avoid penalties for offenses like overloading.

Selangor JPJ, through Ops Paras initiated on May 1st, has issued 143 notices to goods truck owners under Section 63(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, mandating their presence for issues regarding potential vehicle blacklisting.

According to Selangor JPJ director Azrin Borhan, these summonses address offenses related to overloading and the unsafe transportation of goods. From the operation's commencement, 724 instances of excessive loads and 645 cases of risky goods transport were recorded, leading to the seizure of 23 vehicles.
