Nine FRU Personnel Killed In Accident Near Teluk Intan

At least nine Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel were killed in an accident involving a FRU truck and a rock-laden lorry in Teluk Intan at 8.30AM this morning, according to the most recent report by Bernama. The latest victim was the trailer driver, who was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Teluk Intan Hospital.

Earlier, director of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department Sayani Saidon reported that the FRU truck, which was carrying 15 people at the time of the incident, killed eight FRU personnel.

According to Sayani, rescue operations are underway at the scene on Jalan Chikus-Sungai Lampam.

"Some victims who were pulled from the vehicle have been sent to Teluk Intan Hospital, but the operation is still being carried out," she said in a NST report. WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-13-at-12.09.57.jpeg
