- PDRM Set For Two-Day Dry Run Ahead Of 46th ASEAN Summit
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will be conducting a two-day simulation exercise in preparation for the 46th ASEAN Summit 2025, starting today. The drill will involve motorcade movements of regional leaders throughout the capital city.
In a statement released yesterday, PDRM announced that the simulation will follow real-time schedules and include key routes connecting the official summit venues.
"The simulation on May 21 will feature motorcades from ASEAN member nations, while May 22 will focus on movements involving GCC member countries," the statement read.
Among the routes affected are those from the delegates accommodation to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) between 7:30AM and 9:00AM, from KLCC to Istana Negara for a Royal Banquet between 11:30AM and 1:00PM and from the hotels to the gala dinner venue between 6:30PM and 8:00PM.
As we had previously reported in conjunction with the summit, a total of six expressways and 25 main roads in the Klang Valley will be affected from May 23 to 28. You can read all about it HERE.
