What started as a regular drive down the Federal Highway quickly turned into an unexpected moment of chaos when a huge Milo advertisement canvas suddenly detached from its billboard and landed on a moving car.

Dashcam footage of the scene has since gone viral, showing the giant canvas dropping out of nowhere and wrapping itself around a red vehicle mid-commute. Luckily, only the canvas fell, leaving the billboard’s metal frame intact.

As the driver unknowingly dragged the huge canvas along the highway, many online described the scene as terrifying. One user even called it a “life-or-death” situation, noting how badly things could’ve ended if it had fallen on a motorcyclist.

The incident has reignited concern over the safety and maintenance of roadside billboards. Some are questioning whether age, neglect, or weather played a role in the failure while others are calling for accountability.

Many online users urged the affected driver to take legal action. “Report it to the local council,” one TikTok user wrote. “Billboards are insured for exactly this kind of thing.”

A few even claimed that celebrities in similar situations have sued and walked away with big payouts.

At the heart of the conversation is a simple point: no one expects a falling canvas to ruin their day or risk their life. But this time, it nearly did.
