- Proton e.MAS 7 Leads July 2025 EV Sales, 686 Units Delivered
Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) has announced that its e.MAS 7 has once again retained its crown as Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle (EV) for the seventh consecutive month, with 686 units delivered in July this year.
As of July 2025, total deliveries have reached 4,959 units, comprising 4,689 units to Malaysian customers and 270 units exported. July also set a new booking record for the e.MAS 7 with 1,365 orders, underscoring the model’s enduring appeal among EV buyers.
According to PRO-NET, the Premium variant accounts for 86% of deliveries thanks to its balance of features and value, while Platinum Silver remains the most sought-after colour, representing a quarter of all orders.
Responding to demand, Proton has added a refined Obsidian Black option, along with limited-run Turquoise Green and Quartz Rose finishes paired with an Alabaster White interior for those seeking a more distinctive look.
Market research by PRO-NET also shows that most Malaysian e.MAS 7 owners travel between 21 and 40 KM daily, meaning a typical driver only needs to charge at most once a week at any of the 3,400 charging points made available on the e.MAS 7’s Live Integrated Charging Network.
Additionally, to make the shift to electric even more accessible, PRO-NET is now offering a Power Exchange programme, which provides a RM5,000 trade-in bonus on top of the assessed value for any existing vehicle, regardless of brand or age, subject to inspection and approval.
According to Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET, the goal from the start was to offer Malaysians an EV that combines exceptional comfort, balanced performance, and advanced features at a fair price, and the strong demand being seen today is proof of that commitment.
