Nadi Willer introduces its new Japanese-quality MaaS platform that integrates mass transit with on-demand DRT services.

Local mobility service provider Nadi Willer has launched its new Japanese-quality mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) platform in Malaysia. This new platform aims to supplement existing rail and bus systems, promising to deliver seamless journeys using public transportation and reduce car dependency.

According to the company, this new MaaS platform integrates mass transit such as buses and rail with on-demand services like mobi DRT to create a seamless mobility experience and provide first- and last-mile connectivity to public transport users in Malaysia.

Since its establishment, Nadi Willer has been operating mobi DRT via its mobile app, currently serving 26 areas with over 40,000 passengers and more than 100,000 members registered, the company said.

With the introduction of this new MaaS platform, Nadi Willer is also launching three new initiatives to further enhance its service. The first one is a new journey planner for its mobi app, where it now integrates TFS and GTFS-RT public transport data for Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to enable users to combine buses, rail, and mobi DRT in one journey search.

Apart from that, the company has also launched mobi Connect—a new mid-distance on-demand service that links one CBD to another CBD area. Users can pre-book rides within designated routes and time slots, with the first service area set to connect the Mont Kiara residential areas with LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre.

Last but not least, Nadi Willer has also introduced a driver education and safety management system based on Japanese best practices to provide extra safety measures for mobi users. Training programs include classroom learning, practical driving sessions, and follow-ups, while safety operations are managed through on-site roll calls, inspections, and the Willer Fleet system.

With these initiatives and its new MaaS platform, Nadi Willer aims to continue enhancing public transport accessibility and promoting sustainable mobility in Malaysia.
