- KL Monorail Stranded 373 Passengers After System Glitch
A technical fault on the KL Monorail left 373 passengers stranded earlier today, causing delays and a minor medical incident.
The train got stuck between Jalan Sultan Ismail and Chow Kit stations, leaving commuters trapped on board, with one passenger reportedly fainting.
Emergency responders from the Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue team were on the scene quickly after receiving a call at 9:39AM.
"With support from monorail staff, all passengers were safely transferred to a replacement train and evacuated near Jalan Sultan Ismail Station
"The passenger who fainted received immediate treatment and was handed over to Ministry of Health personnel for further care. The rescue operation wrapped up at 11:03AM," the department said in a statement.

Rapid Rail later confirmed that the disruption was caused by a system error at Medan Tuanku Station. While transit officers were able to evacuate those on the stalled train, the problem affected the whole monorail line.
"To keep commuters moving, Rapid Rail activated alternative transport. A shuttle train is running between KL Sentral and Hang Tuah, another connects Hang Tuah and Bukit Nanas, and buses are covering the Titiwangsa to Bukit Nanas route," it stated.
Rapid Rail engineers are currently on-site to fix the issue and resume normal operations. Commuters are advised to plan ahead and consider alternative transport for the day.
