- JPJ Warns Public Over Fake ‘EE’ Plate Series
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has stepped in to clarify that the vehicle registration series ‘EE’ circulating online is completely fake.
JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli confirmed the department has never issued, approved, or introduced the ‘EE’ registration series. The social media letters claiming otherwise are fraudulent and could mislead the public.

Preliminary checks by Bernama show that scammers have copied official JPJ formats, including letterheads, writing style, and document layouts, to make the fake approval letters look real.
“These actions not only confuse the public but also harm JPJ’s credibility,” Aedy Fadly said, adding that the department has already lodged a police report and urged everyone to remain cautious.

JPJ reminded vehicle owners to verify any registration offers through official channels and never fall for suspicious claims to avoid becoming victims of fraud.
