- Launched: 2026 Toyota Vellfire HEV – Executive Lounge, RM549,900
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) have opened up orders for the 2026 Toyota Vellfire HEV, which arrives locally in Executive Lounge form.

It’s evidently clear UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is banking on its electrified hybrid (HEV) models for 2026. Earlier today, the automaker announced that orders for the 2026 Toyota Vellfire HEV electrified luxury MPV are now opened locally.
Previously, UMWT previewed this flavour of its staple posh people-mover back in 2024 during its ‘Beyond Zero’ expo. That same year, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version was also released in Japan, though it appears that won’t be making landfall in Malaysia yet.

UMWT previewed the Vellfire HEV locally back in 2025 during its 'Beyond Zero' expo.

Offered in ‘Executive Lounge’ trim, the 2026 Toyota Vellfire HEV is tagged at a hefty figure of RM549,900 – some RM101,900 costlier than its unelectrified twin, though we’ll also point out said non-HEV variant is not offered in Executive Lounge form.
As we saw in the upcoming 2025 Toyota Vios HEV teased late last week, said price includes both a 5-year, unlimited mileage base vehicle warranty and a separate 8-year, unlimited mileage hybrid battery warranty coverages.

The electrified 2.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill powering the Vellfire HEV puts out 250 PS and sips as low as 5.7 litres/100 KM.

Powering the Vellfire HEV is the combination of a 2.5-litre ‘Dynamic Force’ 4-cyl naturally aspirated petrol mill, a hybrid e-motor and compact battery pack. Toyota notes this setup has a 37% higher output over the regular ICE version, offering 250 PS (247 hp) combined.
Paired with a slick e-CVT automatic transmission, the automaker also touts this luxury MPV’s ultra-high fuel efficiency – it sups as low as 5.7 litres/100 KM and emits just 129 g/KM of CO2.

The Vellifre HEV Executive Lounge has the coveted second-row VIP seats that offer full power adjustment, ventilation, ottoman and massage functions, all accessed through dedicated digital touch panels.

On board, the Executive Lounge treatment brings a 7-seater layout across three rows, but it’s the second-row ‘VIP Seats’ that are coveted. These offer full power adjustment, ventilation, ottoman and massage functions, all accessed through dedicated digital touch panels.
Other key bits brimmed for the second row include a rotary table, enlarged armrests with integrated vanity mirrors, as well as anti-vibration seat structures. Capping things off here is the exclusive Sunset Brown Nappa leather upholstery wrapping the seats, dash and door trims.

Other notable novelties brimmed include a 64-colour cabin ambient lighting suite, 14-inch ceiling mounted entertainment display, 15-speaker JBL audio suite, and more.

Of course, that’s not all. Other novelties brought on by the Executive Lounge treatment include a 64-colour cabin ambient lighting suite, 14-inch ceiling mounted entertainment display, as well as a 15-speaker JBL audio suite, amongst many.
All of which come on top of core basics that consists of dual powered sliding doors, powered tailgate, as well as Remote Engine Start function via the standard-equipped Vehicle Telematics System (VTS).
Three exterior colours are available - Precious Metal (pictured), Patinum White Pearl, and classic Black.

Underpinning the TNGA platform also brings a key benefit through safety, evident through the presence of the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 ADAS suite. In short, this posh MPV delivers Level 2-rated semi-autonomous driving abilities to boot.
The 2026 Toyota Vellfire HEV Executive lounge is now opened for orders through authorised dealers where it is offered across three exterior paintjob options – Platinum White Pearl, Precious Metal, and classic Black.
