Mazda CX-60

Highly anticipated, the latest offering from the Japanese automaker, Mazda, the all-new Mazda CX-60, officially launched in Malaysia.

The D-segment (mid-size crossover SUV) runner underpins Mazda’s Large Products Technology platform (SKYACTIV Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture).

Fully imported (CBU – Japan), available via Bermaz Motor (BAuto) is one variant (CX-60 2.5 2WD High – MYR 200,510).

Price (OTR, w/o insurance) includes a manufacturer’s warranty (five years/100,000 KM) and a maintenance program (free: five years/100,000 KM).

Exterior colours (single-tone: Soul Red Crystal, Jet Black, Zircon Sand, Platinum Quartz, Rhodium White). Interior colour (single-tone: Black).

The all-new CX-60 gets an angular cascading and tiered dashboard (Mazda Jinba-Ittai Design), linked to a high-rising-wide centre console (armrest, wireless charger, vehicle telematics).

Soft-/hard-touched (dash, steering wheel, centre console, doors), it sees leather upholstery in one colour scheme (single-tone: Black) with contrast trims (Gloss Black, Aluminium) and stitching (Beige).

Equipped are the driver/central displays (instrument cluster, infotainment), air-conditioning vents (rectangular: vertical corners, horizontal centre) and an ambient light system (LED).

Inclusively, the layout is simple and straight-forward with accessibilities purposefully arranged (driver-centric, passenger-oriented).

Installed is a 12.3-Inch colour TFT LCD fully digital (Multi-Information Display – MID) driver display (instrument cluster). Included is a Windscreen-Head-Up Display (W-HUD – memory: Driver Personalisation System).

Solidly sculpted (Mazda Kodo Design), it continues the seamlessly curvaceous profile, emphasised by roundly cut and horizontally symmetrical surfaces.

The short-overhang rear-end sees a mildly dipped roofline (roof-edge spoiler), muscular quarter panels (flared fenders), a tapered tailgate (Mazda/CX-60 emblems) and a covered bumper (diffuser: corner exhausts).

Sunken, the headlamps are housed roundly sharp and inward-tilted with L-shaped light signature. Installed are full LED (adaptive projector) units.

Features are automatic On/Off/levelling/cornering, Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH), Daytime Running Lights (DRL – LED), welcome/leaving lights and sequential turn signals (LED).

Seamless, the tail lamps are framed slim, sharp and wrapped-around with L-shaped light signature. Installed are LED combination units.

The all-new CX-60 nestles an Internal Combustion Engine powertrain (petrol: ICE).

Featured is a 2.5-Litre inline four-cylinder 16-valve with VVT naturally aspirated (NA) direct injection DOHC petrol engine (Mazda SKYACTIV-G) setup (189 HP, 261 NM).

Mated to the setup is an eight-speed EAT (Efficient Automatic Transmission – ECT: Electronically Controlled Transmission).

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels, via a Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) system.

Fuel tank capacity is at 58 Litres.
