Peugeot 5008

The 2nd generation 5008 Peugeot is available in three variants; the Peugeot 5008 THP Plus Allure, Peugeot 5008 THP Allure and Peugeot 5008 THP Plus Active. Prices are RM179,888, RM172,888, and RM166,888 respectively. The 5008 Peugeot highlights modularity, space and comfort.

The design is a futuristic, 100 percent digital i-cockpit that has various layered dashboard elements. 

The instrument cluster is made up of a 12.3-inch fully customisable layout where the driver can adjust the dials, choose what is displayed or even show the sat-nav instructions on the screen. 

The vehicle comes with 7 seats for outstanding modularity. The seats are finished with either red Nappa leather or mistral Black leather upholstery with Alcantara lining, depending on the variants. Not only that, the front seats are electrically adjustable, with split-folding 3rd row rear seats. The driver’s seat is completed with an 8-way power-adjustable along with memory functions. 

All passengers will be provided maximum comfort as the Peugeot 5008 was designed for a brand new perspective on volume. The vehicle will leave no shortage of leg space even for passengers that are slightly taller than an average Asian who have fully extended their seat. 

The car has a decent-sized glove compartment that is able to fit the car manual and service booklet but unfortunately may not be able to fit any other bigger essential items. However, there are multiple other storage space options in the vehicle such as the cavern beneath the front central armrest where passengers are able to fit their sunglasses or even their packed lunch. The Peugeot 5008 also has a large tray in the centre console where the driver can place their mobile phones for easy access. 

There are 6 cupholders in the vehicle; 2 in the front, 2 in the second row and 2 in the third row, There are also 4 bottle holders at each door panel.

The available boot space for the Peugeot 5008 is 167 litres. However, with the third row of seats lowered down, passengers are able to enjoy around 750 to 952 litres of cargo space. For even more space, the third row of seats can also be removed from the vehicle entirely and stored separately, increasing the cargo space to 1060 litres. On top of that, cargo space can also be increased to 2,150 litres as the second row of seats can be folded flat. The front passenger seat can also be folded, increasing the load length to 3.2 metres for the transportation of extra long loads. 

The measurements are 4,670 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,840 mm. It is 190 mm longer compared to the second-generation Peugeot 3008. 

The Peugeot 5008 gives off a stylish and sleek look with the main focus being the striking frameless radiator grille as well as the unique LED headlights that double as signal indicators. 

The rear of the 5008 Peugeot displays their spacious and lush design that focuses on the new and improved LED tail lights which is a slender version of the company’s three-claw design motif, completing the set with sequential turn indicators.

The front headlamps are LED adaptive projection headlamps.

The tail lamps are LED units that give a 3D claw effect.

The car comes equipped with 18-inches of new-tone alloy wheels.

The Peugeot 5008 has the following active safety features; auto emergency braking, electronic stability control, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, speed limit recognition system, hill descent control, hill assist, dynamic stability control, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, brake assist, programmable cruise control and speed limiter as well as traction control. 

The passive features include six airbags, ISOFIX, front and rear parking sensors as well a 180/360-degree reverse camera.

The grip control feature consists of four modes; Standard, Snow, All-Terrain, Sand and ESP. 

Features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display that is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support.
