Petronas has unveiled its latest offering, the Primax 97 with Pro-Race via a Facebook life-stream yesterday. Touted as its “best fuel ever”, the new Euro 4M RON 97 fuel is available at Petronas petrol stations nationwide, at RM2.08/litre.

The key enhancement of the RON 97 fuel is the new additive package which includes, according to Petronas, the world’s first Advanced Dual Friction Modifier. The company says the new additive is 25% more efficient in reducing friction, while lowering carbon emissions through enhanced fuel and oil interaction.

Petronas has also claimed that the new fuel helps remove up to 99.9% of engine deposits in key areas. As a result, the new Primax 97 with Pro Race provides users with a more powerful, responsive, and efficient drive.

Petronas Dagangan Berhad Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Azrul Osman Rani said, “The new Petronas Primax 97 with Pro-Race is our best fuel, as the new formulation was designed to cater to advanced engine technologies and meet the high-performance driving needs of our customers today.

“Having translated our fluid technology from track to road, we are very excited to finally let our customers experience an effortless drive, achievable through the three-in-one benefit comprising power, responsiveness and efficiency.”

Petronas has carried out a blind test with 100 real-world users, 69 reported a noticeable increase in power, while 66 agreed their vehicles felt more responsive with the new Primax 97 with Pro-Race fuel. 73 users noted that their vehicles recorded better mileage with the new fuel.

In conjunction with the launch of the new fuel, Petronas is offering a RM2 e-voucher for a minimum purchase of RM50, and a RM5 cashback for new Setel users. More information can be found here.
