Ford Malaysia's New Five-Year and Extended Warranty Plans For Its Ranger
Malaysia’s sole distributor for Ford, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) has introduced a new 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for their Ranger lineup which is a two-year addition to its previous warranty. All Ford Ranger Year Make 2021 models onwards will be covered by the 5-year or 160,000km whichever comes first manufacturer's warranty replacing its previous 3-year or 100,000km whichever comes first warranty.
On top of that, individuals who are already Ford Ranger customers and on the existing 3-year warranty will be given a chance to upgrade its warranty, by purchasing either of the two Extended Warranty Plans - the PremiumCARE and PowertrainCARE. These warranty plans are available at any Ford Authorised Service Centres.
The PremiumCARE plan supplies a two-year comprehensive coverage on more than 1,000 components, while the PowertrainCARE supplies a two-year added warranty on the engine, transmission and drivetrain. Sime Darby Auto ConneXion’s Head of Sales, Turse Zuhair mentioned that they understand how Ford vehicles are not limited to just modes of transportation to their Ranger customers but they are also perceived to be an extension of their lifestyle, whether for work or play.
