All-New Honda City RS e:HEV Now On Sale
Honda Malaysia has just announced the price for the new City RS e:HEV, following the successful launch of the 5th Generation City.
This sets the record for Malaysia as the first country in the world to reveal this variant.
Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Toichi Ishiyama said, “Today we are pleased to announce the official price for the All-New City RS e:HEV at RM105,950.45¹ with an overall package that is beyond the B-segment, complete with Next Generation Advanced Technology, Honda SENSING as well as Honda CONNECT, class-leading innovative features and a sporty exterior. I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to our customers who have booked the RS e:HEV variant and waited patiently for the official price announcement. Furthermore, we have also received overwhelming response from Malaysians, recording positive figures for the All-New City with over 20,000 bookings to date. We have successfully delivered more than 13,100 units of the All-New City to Malaysians since its official launch.”
The range-topping City RS e:HEV is priced at RM105,950. The other variants in the City range available consist of the S,E and V petrol versions with prices ranging from RM74,191 to RM86,561.
City RS e:HEV features an exclusive exterior styling pack that exudes a sportier feel with the carbon pattern trimmings, gloss black front grille and ducktail spoiler. The RS is also the only City to ride on dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels with rear disc brakes.
As standard, the vehicle is fitted with LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, fog lamps and LED rear lights. Included are also keyless entry with push button start, single-zone air-conditioning, 8.0-inch touchscreen head unit that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as an eight-speaker audio system.
The RS highlights a 7-inch Interactive Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Meter as well as Sport Pedal Pads fitted with Ultrasuede Seats and Red Stitching for the interior.
The all-new variant is powered by Honda’s cutting-edge intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) powertrain which combines an internal combustion (IC) engine with two electric mothers and a high-power Lithium-Ion battery pack.
Safety-wise, the driver assist and safety kit includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)m Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High-Beam (AHB).
The City RS is the first model to feature Honda CONNECT locally. This system allows users access to an array of safety, security and convenience features via a dedicated application available for both Android and iOS devices.
In addition to Honda CONNECT, the RS also receives the enhanced Honda Sensing driving system. This system uses the front wide view camera to better recognise any road boundaries during driving conditions at any time.
The RS is offered in three colours namely Passion Red, Modern Steel Metallic and Platinum White Pearl.
