Here’s a little insight on the all-new Honda City and Honda BR-V models for those who are interested in getting their hands on this time limited deal.
It was launched back in 2020 and the all-new City was built to be a trailblazer for the B-segment as it offers new technologies, new powertrain and a new sporty design.
On the ‘V’ variant, it can be seen with a sleek overall appearance which features new LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), new LED fog lights, new LED taillights and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interior wise, the all-new City has been totally revamped. Now it offers the occupants an abundant amount of comfort with roomier rear legroom and also fitted is a rear air-conditioning ventilation system, which comes as a standard feature across all variants.
As for the performance factor, in its segment, it is sporting the most powerful newly developed 1.5-litre, DOHC i-VTEC engine. Paired with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), to transmit all power to the front wheels.
By having all of that under the hood, it is able to produce a power output of up to 121 PS and a maximum torque of 145 Nm. These values make the city to have the highest performance rating in its class.
Also taking its segment up a notch, is the advanced technologies installed. One of the new features included that falls under the convenience factor is the Remote Engine Start function. This is new to its segment and is offered in the ‘E’ and ‘V’ variants only.
Infotainment side of things, all variants of the all-new Honda City are equipped with an 8-inch display audio that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
However, for the safety system, only the ‘V’ variant is getting the company’s new Honda LaneWatch safety suit. And as per usual, six airbags come standard in all variants.
Moving on to the Honda BR-V, it was also launched back in 2020 and ever since its release, it has been in high demand by the customers.
The range topping Honda BR-V, the ‘V’ variant is fitted with a 1.5-litre, SOHC i-VTEC engine under its hood. It is also matted with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), which discharges all power to the front wheels.
All that power from the range topping BR-V’s mill is able to dispense a total output of 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm. Also, the ‘V’ variant comes with paddle shifters to further exhilarate the driving experience.
Exterior wise, it has an eye-catching design with the new front grille, new front bumper with lower bumper garnish, new front fog light garnish, new shark-fin antenna, new rear bumper with lower bumper garnish and a new set of 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheel design.
Diving into the interior, cabin space is not an issue as it provides ample leg and head room. As for the overall designing, it is attractively premium with the new leather upholstery in red finishing details for the ‘V’ variant.
With that out of the way, for this month only, a contest by the company that is currently ongoing until March 24th, 2021, the company is also giving away seven special edition models in conjunction with the ‘1 Million Dreams Campaign’.
On top of that, Honda Malaysia also invites all Malaysians to join the ‘1 Million Dreams’ grand finale in Bukit Jalil National Stadium car park C on March 27th and 28th, 2021, from 10am until 10pm.
