The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace R-Line Gets New Tech Upgrades

Volkswagen continues the efforts to enhance the car and the brand by offering new feature upgrades to the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace R-Line. 


The are no changes to the price, it is priced at RM 209,637 on-the-road without insurance or SST, inclusive of a five-year and unlimited-mileage warranty. 


The Allspace R-Line is powered by the 2.0-litre turbocharged direct injection engine that delivers 220 hp and 350 nm of torque and paired with 7-speed wet clutch direct shift gearbox (DSG) and it can be drive with its 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. 


On top of that, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace R-Line now comes with pill-shaped USB Type-C ports, replacing the previous rectangular Type-A ports below the climate control switchgear. It also gets the upgraded Discover Pro infotainment system and it features a 9.2-inch touchscreen and touch-sensitive volume, power, home and menu buttons as standard.

The new-generation system features the same general interface design and gesture control function. Although the home screen now has a second page for various vehicular functions and the favourites panel. Most importantly, it comes with wireless App-Connect for Apple CarPlay connectivity. However, it still need a cable for Android Auto. 



There is an Aftersales Raya Campaign that Volkswagen owners sending their cars for service will enjoy 20 percent off genuine engine oil from now until June 13. Owners who spend a minimum of RM 1,200 will receive a complimentary car care kit : wax polish, wax shampoo, glass polish, plastic care and leather care solutions in 50ml bottles. Owners will also receive free Raya packets too. 


At the same time, customers can head to Auto Car Expo (ACE) this April 17th and 18th at Setia City Convention Centre, where Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia is offering an additional RM 1,000 cash rebate on top of ongoing promotions. Also, every booking of Passat family are Elegance and R-Line, the owners will get to enjoy a complimentary all-expense paid trip to the luxury Pangkor Laut Resort. Additionally, the Passat Elegance comes with 1-year free insurance worth RM 5,500 while the Passat R-Line comes with 1-year free petrol worth RM 2,500.  

The models on display and available for test drive are the Arteon R-Line, Passat Elegance, Passat R-Line, Tiguan Allspace R-Line and Highline. There will also be pre-owned Volkswagen cars under the Das WeltAuto available for viewing and test drive at the event too.
