The Fast & Furious’ Lykan HyperSport, An Action Car For The Collectors
Fast and Furious franchise, known for its outstanding lineup of exotic vehicles, has recently listed one of its action cars for sale, the Lykan HyperSport.
This particular action car featured in the franchise’s 7th movie, the Fast and Furious 7, has been expected to have a price tag of $750,000 (RM 3.08 million) to $2.5 million (RM 10.2 million).
The Lykan HyperSport is a limited production sports car manufactured by W Motors. It is a United Arab Emirates based company that was founded in 2012 in Lebanon.
Its production line was limited to seven creations, and exclusively for the Fast and Furious 7 movie, 10 other action cars were built.
Throughout the filming journey, some of the action cars were destroyed. However, those units were produced based on a cheap steel frame with the HyperSport body placed on top.
As for the movie’s action cars, only the interior features were akin to the production model. Whereas under the hood, it does not harbour the same powertrain.
In comparison, the action car that has been auctioned is equipped with a 2.7-litre flat-six engine capable of producing up to 240 hp of maximum output.
Slightly tamer than the beast’s production unit, which is harbouring in its engine bay a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six mill that produces up to 769 hp of maximum output.
It is paired to either a 6-speed sequential manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that allows it to have a maximum speed of 394 km/h.
Stance wise, they are the same for both the action and production units. With a length of 4,480 mm, a width of 1,944 mm, a height of 1,170 mm, a wheelbase of 2,625 mm and weighing in at 1,380 kg.
Other than that, being an action car, its overall state is not in an excellent condition. At which the side mirrors have been damaged along with many parts of the body and mirrors.
Peeking inside, the interior can also be seen with no instrument panel and a busted-up infotainment display.
All in all, the Lykan HyperSport action car has been auctioned as a non-fungible token (NFT), and owners of this Hollywood beast will receive several digital assets, including a collage of the vehicle.
