Good News? Crossing States Allowed Once 90 Percent Adult Vaccination Achieved
Good news! You don’t have to rush to refuel or buy groceries before 10 pm anymore. The government has extended operating hours for petrol stations, grocery stores, mini markets, restaurants, and convenience stores starting from today. Business hours are now from 6 am to 12 am.

The announcement was made by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in a statement yesterday.
Following the extended operation of several business premises, the government also agreed to open several sectors mentioned below:

All sectors mentioned above are allowed to operate in all phases of the National Recovery Plan (VAT) effective October 1, 2021.
However, all operators and visitors are reminded to adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) implemented.
Most importantly, make sure you have completed both doses of the vaccine!
It was also mentioned that businesses are allowed to operate at 100 percent capacity, provided that the employer and all employees are fully vaccinated.

Despite more lenient SOPs, cross-state movements are still not allowed.
Crossing states will only be allowed once the country reaches the 90 percent adult vaccination rate.

We understand that the public may not like the decision to wait until the 90 percent adult vaccination rate, but it may be the best way as the daily surge of Covid-19 cases has not yet shown a significant downward trend.
Always make sure to adhere to SOPs, maintain social distancing and always wear a face mask.
