Major Wreckage In Kuala Lumpur Due To An Out-Of-Control Lamborghini

A woman felt as if she was given a second life when her car was suddenly hit by a Lamborghini Superleggera from behind in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

It is imaginable how the 53-year-old Proton Perdana driver felt when her car crashed causing it to lift before overturning and stranded on the side of the road.

Cause of the wreckage was recorded by the dashcam of a driver who was right behind the Proton Perdana before the roar of the Superleggera could clearly be heard through the video.

Said video clip that was spread on the internet showed the speeding Superleggera trying to squeeze into the right lane before crashing into the Perdana.

As if that is not bad enough, the luxury car also collided into several other vehicles in front of it, including Mazda, Nissan Serena and Ford Ranger 2.0.

The incident was confirmed by the chief of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh.

Driver of the Lamborghini who was commuting from KLIA to Bulatan Pahang said the accident happened because he was shocked upon seeing a row of cars that stopped due to traffic congestion.

Sarifudin remarked, "Panicked by the situation, the Lamborghini driver is said to have failed to control his vehicle and crashed into the Perdana, causing it to overturn."

However, urine and alcohol test screening that was conducted on the Lamborghini driver was found to be negative.

Meanwhile, the other three drivers of the Mazda, Serena and Ford Ranger that succumbed to the catastrophe have lodged a police report.

Thankfully, both the Perdana and Superleggera drivers including the other three involved in the crash only suffered minor injuries and have been treated at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).

This case is currently being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
