Mazda’s Flagship Three-Row SUV Makes a 2021 Comeback, CX-9 Receives Upgrades!
Mazda has just revealed the all-new 2021 Mazda CX-9, focusing on the vehicle’s practicality while still maintaining its sense of style and driving experience.
For this year’s model, the CX-9 receives a list of upgrades, including a new “Ignite Edition”, which features gloss black door outer mirrors, a new front grille and 20inch black metallic alloy wheels as standard. Meanwhile, the interior spots Burgundy coloured leather seats accompanied by black interior trimmings.
The all-new SUV will be riding on the SkyActive-G 2.5 Turbo engine equipped on the 2WD and i-Activ AWD variant, which produces 228 hp and 420 Nm, respectively. Attached with a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission, the G-Vectoring Control Plus is also fitted as standard.
Additional upgrades include Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for the infotainment, Wireless Charger and Paddle Shifters. The i-Activsense safety suite also gets a tweak: now including an all-new Smart Brake Support and Mazda Radar Cruise along with existing Adaptive LED Headlamps, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist, Driver Attention Alert and Smart City Brake Support.
Other standard features include a ten-way power driver’s seat with memory positioning, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, three-zone automatic climate control, LED daytime running lights and tail lamps, as well as rain-sensing windshield wipers, just to name a few.
In the meantime, the 2021 Mazda CX-9 “Ignited Edition” is a CBU from Japan and is available in six shades - Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Sonic Silver, Deep Crystal Blue and Jet Black.
Pricing starts from RM319,847.40 and includes the 50 percent Sales Tax Reduction (SST) on CBU models, which is available till December 31. The model will also have a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty and 5-Years Free Maintenance which covers five years and a mileage limit of 100,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
