Two Variants Up For Grabs, Lucid Air Dream Edition Provides Top-Notch Power!
When the Lucid Air Dream Edition was revealed, only one specification was mentioned: bringing 1080 hp and a claimed 809 kilometres of range. Now, the Dream Edition will come in two models, namely Range and Performance.

As the name suggests, one will be focusing on maximising the travel distance in one charge, and the latter will mainly focus on power. The Range variant produces approximately 993 hp. Lucid promises a range of 804 kilometres (500 miles), which the company believes the EPA will be able to churn over 832 kilometres (517 miles) range. The Performance, on the other hand, powers 1,111 hp to the vehicle compared to the former, with both variants having more than 999 Nm (737 pound-feet) of torque. Range-wise, the company estimates that the variant can push up to 764 kilometres (475 miles).

Lucid also claims that the Range would finish a century sprint in 2.7 seconds, with the Performance variant beating the record by 0.2 seconds faster. Both will be riding on Pirelli P Zero tires, with the Performance getting 21-inch wheels, while the Range will be fitted with 19-inch wheels. Even so, both trims will offer an alternate wheel option, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all.

As a recap, customers paid around $7,500 during the reservations for the model, with the specs laid out. Now, the $169,000 price tag remains the same regardless of variants and Lucid states it will be reaching out to the reservation holders regarding the variants.
The Lucid Air Dream Edition is scheduled to be delivered later this year, with the Grand Touring model expected to arrive soon after.
