Perodua On The Road To Recovery With Increase In Sales Numbers By 102 Percent!

Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Berhad has improved its delivery of Perodua vehicles for the third month in a row by 102 percent! Numbers increased from 6,988 units in August to 14,160 units in September. 

“The automotive supply chain has shown improvements but have yet to reach their full potential. We are continuously working with our suppliers and dealers to improve productivity and safety further,” said Perodua president and chief executive officer, Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad. 

“We thank our customers that have continued to be patient with us as we further improve production,” he added. 

In addition to that, the company sold 119,093 vehicles between January and September this year, as compared to the 145,012 vehicles within the same period in 2020. 

However, sales decreased by 44.6 percent from 39,381 units in April and June to 21,803 units in July and September.

“The fourth quarter of 2021 does offer a better outlook than the previous two quarters, especially the marked improvement in the reduction of COVID-19 cases nationwide as well as the nearly 90% vaccination rate of the Malaysian adult population.“

“We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay in the delivery, and we will assist our customers in any way that we can to ensure that their Perodua is delivered as soon as possible,” he mentioned.
