Ploughing Its Way To Malaysia, ATM and JMC Presents The JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 Pick-Up Truck

Expanding its portfolio of vehicles, Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd (ATM) in partnership with Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd (JMC) is set to launch the JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 pick-up truck.

Warisan TC Holdings Bhd’s chief executive officer, Tan Keng Meng remarked, “We are pleased to announce that after more than 12 months of hard work, Angka-Tan Motor, in collaboration with Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd, is ready to introduce an exciting contender in the popular pick-up segment. The stylish and technologically advanced JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 pick-up truck has proven its mettle in the Chinese market and we can’t wait to share this new product with pick-up fans across Malaysia.”

Selected as the official distributor, JMC has granted ATM the sole right to manufacture, assemble and sell the JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 pick-up truck and related parts and components in Malaysia.

Additionally, ATM also plans to make the JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 available across 13 sales and service outlets nationwide.

Prices and detailed specifications of the JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 are expected to be revealed sometime in the month of October 2021.

However, some insights or key specifications of the JMC Vigus Pro 4x4 have been disclosed, specifically in terms of its performance.

Under the hood lurks a 2.0-litre TDI 4-cylinder with VGT turbo diesel engine that produces 141 PS of power at 3,600 rpm and 340 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm to 2,600 rpm.

The engine is married to an 8-Speed ZF automatic transmission with manual shift mode, and rides on the BorgWarner 4WD System with 2H, 4H and 4L modes.

Besides that, it is installed with the Eaton rear differential lock and has a class-leading fuel economy at 7.8-litre for every 100 km.
