Advancing Porsche’s pursuit of sustainable mobility, Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) presents the brand’s first fully-electric Cross Utility Vehicle (CUV), the Taycan Cross Turismo, in Malaysia.

Complementing the existing Taycan family perfectly, the new Taycan Cross Turismo offers a convincing range and impressive spaciousness, making it a true all-rounder.

Most notably, the new Taycan Cross Turismo CUV features an innovative 800-volt technology, which enables fast charging and has 47 mm more headroom for rear-seat passengers.

Plus, the large tailgate at the rear allows a generous volume of more than 1,200 litres of load capacity when the rear seatbacks are folded down.

Fitted as standard across the Cross Turismo model range, the Performance Battery Plus provides a total capacity of 93.4 kWh and the line-up available in Malaysia comprises three variants.

First is the ‘Taycan 4 Cross Turismo’ with 280 kW (375 hp) of output and an overboost power for Launch Control at 350 kW (469 hp).

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds while hitting a top speed of 220 km/h and a range of 437 km (NEDC).

Second, the ‘Taycan 4S Cross Turismo’ with 360 kW (483 hp) of output has an overboost power with Launch Control at 420 kW (563 hp).

Enabling it to dash from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h and a range of 436 km (NEDC).

Third, the ‘Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo’ with 460 kW (616 hp) has an overboost power with Launch Control at 500 kW (671 hp).

Sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, it records a top speed of 250 km/h and a range of 425 km (NEDC).

Moreover, the high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and the adaptive air suspension is standard across the Cross Turismo model range.

This provides up to 20 mm higher ground clearance than its Taycan saloon counterpart, and with the optional Off-road Design package, the ground clearance is increased by up to 30 mm.

Meaning, owners can drive the Cross Turismo on challenging off-road terrain, especially with the new ‘Gravel’ mode exclusive to the Cross Turismo.

In addition to that, this new feature manages torque distribution through traction-optimised shifting and other chassis settings, increasing the suitability of the Cross Turismo for poor-quality roads.

Completing the off-road dynamics are the aesthetics; in this case, the design elements include wheel arch trims, unique front and rear lower aprons, and side sills.

Besides that, as part of the optional Off-road Design package, the Cross Turismo has special flaps at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and the ends of the sills.

Interestingly, these fitted features make for a striking exterior as well as providing protection from stone impacts.

Pricing wise, the ‘Taycan 4 Cross Turismo’ starts from RM 645,209, the ‘Taycan 4S Cross Turismo’ starts from RM 728,727, and the ‘Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo’ starts from RM 968,928.

To sum up, the Taycan Cross Turismo is available for viewing at Porsche Centres nationwide and to schedule your appointment, visit https://bit.ly/TaycanCrossTurismo_MY.
