The 2022 Kia Forte - All About Style And Advanced Tech
The 2022 Kia Forte finally debuted with a new design identity and advanced technology, further enhancing its functionality and style.
Having to follow the footsteps of models like K5 (Optima) and the Sorento, this new Forte arrives with refreshed and updated styling for 2022.
Attached with the new Kia logo, this model is equipped with revised front and rear bumpers, sleeker headlights, LED fog lights that blend into the air-intake grille (on GT and GT-Line trims), new wheel designs, a sportier LED taillight, and a new trunk lid spoiler. All of these elements combined give the Forte a more aggressive, sporty, and athletic feel.
Interior-wise, the 2022 Forte continues to receive updates from the former models. We can see that all trims receive a larger 4.2-inch colour TFT LCD cluster behind the steering wheel and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via the 8-inch touch-screen display. A larger 10.25-inch screen with navigation and free MapCare updates is standard on the upper GT and GT-Line trims. Rounding out the interior updates is the option of SynTex synthetic leather seating as well as an available rear USB charger. In addition, the Forte continues to deliver a comfortable and spacious five-seat cabin with up to 3,152 litres. of passenger and cargo volume.
The new Forte offers two engine options: 2.0-litre MPI I-4 (FE, LXS, GT-Line) with 147 hp/179 Nm of torque and a turbocharged 1.6-litre GDI I-4 engine (GT) that runs on 201 hp/264 Nm of torque.
An expanded suite of new and upgraded Drive Wise ADAS technology is also the main updated feature for the 2022 Forte. There are 15 systems available, including Lane Following Assist, Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist3, and Safe Exit Warning.
