Based On The A110 Sports Car, Alpine Presents The GTA Concept NFT

Created as an exclusive collectible non-fungible token (NFT), Alpine presents the GTA Concept, a virtual car design based on the A110 sports car.

Each one comes in a single digital artwork in the form of an NFT, which was made available for purchase through an online auction.

Alpine’s sales and marketing vice president, Cédric Journel, said, “After our collaboration with Felipe Pantone, we wanted to go further by offering a field of artistic expression to the designers of Alpine Cars and the Alpine F1 Team and show our appreciation for the work of independent designers who love our brand.” 

Initially, the GTA Concept started life as the personal project of designer Arseny Kostromin, who has previously worked for Renault.

Now, the Groupe Renault performance marque has developed five special liveries for the car, including one based on the Alpine Formula 1 team’s livery. 

Another is finished in black with a prominent A on the side, while the other features a tri-colour digital glitch pattern inspired by the blurring of lines between the virtual and the real.

Then, one of the liveries also has blue lines that reveal an overhead diagram and GPS coordinates of Mont Blanc and hidden details that can only be seen when wearing 3D anaglyph glasses.

Last but not least, the final Alpine GTA Concept is finished in the brand's iconic Alpine blue, which exudes the classic and sporty characteristics of the brand.

Additionally, this project was also created with the help of Nfast, an NFT hypercar designer, and Animoca Brands, which runs Revv Racing, a blockchain-based racing game.

Speaking of which, the five owners of the GTA Concept models are also able to virtually drive their machines exclusively in that game.

Journel concluded, "Alpine is the first European car manufacturer in history to release a new car concept exclusively as NFTs. The result is as good as their talent, and the quality of the NFTs is exceptional.”
