Proton X90 Will Be Based On Geely Haoyue? This Is The Specification Of Geely Haoyue In China
Rumored that the new Proton X90 will be built with Geely Haoyue prototype?
Many images surfaced recently on what is supposed to be the future Proton X90 spotted at Genting Sempah.
It is no secret that Proton’s upcoming project, the X90, is based on Geely’s Haoyue. So before Proton releases the model, let’s have a look at the Geely Haoyue.
Haoyue is a 7-seater MPV. The body frame is built on the Geely CV platform, specially developed by Geely for MPV models.
In terms of power, it houses the 1.8-litre TGDI engine, which produces a maximum of 181 hp and a maximum of 300 Nm of torque and is mated to the 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. This engine may be perfect for a 7-seater, but it is also speculated that this model may launch with a 1.5L TGDI engine version.
In terms of appearance, following the Proton X50 and X70, it is believed that the brand new X90 will follow Haoyue’s appearance, providing a more sporty and fashionable appearance that will interest many car enthusiasts.
The front of the Geely Haoyue adopts a shield-shaped water tank guard, which is the design of the Geely family model. The headlamps and taillamps are fully LED units, and the lines are clearly defined.
In addition to the digital infotainment system in Haoyue’s interior, the biggest highlight is the panoramic sunroof. It makes the space inside the car look stylish and bright, and it also has a function that automatically closes the sunroof when it senses the rain.
In addition, the storage space of the Haoyue model is also incisively designed. There are 42 storage spaces of different sizes. If you want to carry cargo, the seats can be folded to make way for more cargo space.
The dimensions of the Haoyue are 4,835 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and 2,815 mm in wheelbase. There are 4 variants to choose from in China, with prices ranging from RMB 109,600 to RMB 139,600 (approximately RM 72,400 to RM 92,200).
It is said that Proton will release three new cars in 2022, namely a facelifted model and two brand-new models. The X90, which has aroused heated discussions, is very much anticipated by Malaysians. We are excited to see what Proton will introduce to Malaysians next year!
