Two men injured in helicopter crash at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS)

A pilot and co -pilot were injured while three passengers survived after the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in the cargo area of ​​Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS), Subang. 

The pilot and his assistant, aged 53 to 55, both suffered broken legs.

The incident is believed to have occurred around 9.25am when a LEO helicopter flew five local men.

Sources said personnel from the Shah Alam and Sungai Buloh Fire and Diving Stations were rushed to the scene to assist the LTSAAS firefighters in the rescue.

“Upon arrival at the location, an Airbus H125 helicopter crashed. The five victims were in stable condition.

"Only two people were injured while the three surviving passengers were not injured. In fact, the helicopter did not catch fire," said Norazam Khamis, Director of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) Selangor.
