Rising Sales In 2021 In Line With UMW Toyota Motor To Go Green Soon!
The end of 2021 has gotten UMW Toyota Motor to move forward by structuring an innovative plan regarding the mobility era in 2022, which focuses more on sustainability.

Its success last year has ranked UMW Toyota Motor as the top non-national automotive brand in Malaysia. In contrast, its Toyota Vios is rated as the best-selling model and Hilux as the local’s top choice for a pickup truck.
In December 2021, the company sold more units than November sales volume by nine percent, from 8,487 to 9,246 units. Compared to 2020, UMW Toyota Motor rose to 22 percent resulting in a total sales volume of 72,394 in 2021.

Globally, the demand for sustainable vehicles is rising with the transition to clean and sustainable practices.
Malaysia aims to become a carbon-neutral country by 2050 as part of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).
The company supports the planning by introducing its soon to be launched Corolla Cross Hybrid after revealing its 18 million vehicles sold to date and offering 45 different HEV in the market.
“The launch of the new Corolla Cross Hybrid will mark a significant milestone for UMW Toyota Motor, which will also pave the way for the energy-efficient vehicle (EEV) manufacturing industry in Malaysia,” said UMW Toyota Motor deputy chairman Akio Takeyama.
