The All New Honda Civic RS 2022
The 11th Generation Honda Civic, which is set to launch tomorrow, has arrived at Honda’s showroom, and this is what you can expect for the Civic RS.
Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd is expected to launch the 11th Generation Honda Civic tomorrow in Mitec, introducing three variants – E, V and RS.
Powering all three variants of the Civic is the 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo engine mated to a continuous variable transmission (CVT). It produces 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque, 9hp and 20 Nm torque, more than its predecessor.
The new Honda Civic structure has 8 percent torsional rigidity and 13 percent bending rigidity improved compared to the previous model, which translates to better ride comfort and improved handling. It also has 497 litres of boot space, making it the largest among its Japanese competitors.
In terms of equipment, the latest Civic RS comes with leather and suede upholstery with red stitching on its multifunction steering wheel and gear knob. Also, the honeycomb black metal coupled well with the dashboard.
On top of that, it also comes with sports pedal, 8-way power adjusted seats, door lining illumination, 9-inch infotainment system with android auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, rear USB charging port, smart clear wipers, 18-inch wheels, eight-speaker sound system, paddle shifters, 7-inch full-colour instrument cluster, drive mode selector, auto-dimming rearview mirror, LED headlamps and LED taillights.
Safety-wise, the 11th Generation Honda Civic RS comes with six airbags, auto brake hold, walk away auto lock, remote engine start, Honda Lane Watch camera, Honda Sensing safety suite, Honda Connect vehicle telematics system, and many others more.
The new Honda Civic is expected to be available in five colour tones, three of which carried over from the previous model: the Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl. In contrast, two new colours – Ignite Red and Meteoroid Grey will be added to its selection.
