Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) extends support to Flood Victims
Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM), the official distributor of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia has extended its support and concern towards the flood victims that have been affected physically and mentally by the catastrophe.
ETCM’s “Nissan Almera Turbo Fuel Efficiency Charity Drive” campaign that has accumulated an amount of RM12,841 would be used to assist the victims with necessities as well as cleaning and repairing housing areas damaged by severe flooding.
RM20,000 has been donated to the flood victims while another RM10,000 will be channelled to Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah while Rumah SVP Klang and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Klang Utama Caring Home will each receive RM5,000.
Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah’s caretaker Puan Saadiah expressed her gratitude to ETCM for the relief aid. She feels so relieved to finally survive through the difficult time and ensure that all of the children are safe and sound.
“On behalf of the children, we are so thankful for the heart-warming support given by ETCM during these difficult times, it definitely will ease our daily burdens,” she added.
Meanwhile, Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (TCM) group chief executive officer Daniel Ho hopes that the company's gestures will help relieve the burden of those affected during this difficult time.
ETCM together with Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Sdn. Bhd. (TCEAS) had also deployed the Nissan Flood Relief Assistance programme that offers a 20 percent discount on parts and labour charges, special upholstery restoration prices and an Easy Payment Plan (EPP) up to 12 months on the total bill.
ETCM has also loaned six (6) vehicles to NGOs and MITI to support the flood relief efforts and vaccination programme. With the theme of Supporting People’s Lives, Tan Chong Group will continue to explore other avenues to reach out to those in need.
