Volkswagen T-Roc: All About Digitalisation and Connectivity
In conjunction with its ACCELERATE strategy, Volkswagen introduced three versions of T-Roc naming the standard T-Roc, T-Roc R, and T-Roc Cabriolet in Spring 2022.
The entry price is 23,495 euros (RM 98,678.97) and 31,850 euros (RM133,769.97) for T-Roc Cabriolet, both in the Style equipment line with the 1.0 TSI engine.
Volkswagen Group has accelerated its method to building next-generation vehicles in developing into more software-oriented mobility providers globally.
The company continues to create its compact crossover with an innovative design combined with advanced assist systems and multiple digital services that produce a higher vehicle class equipped with automated driving.
T-Roc on the outside has a sporty and rock-solid versatility bodywork. With a foam-backed surface, the model has a distinctive look. T-Roc’s exterior lines have been sharpened, making a complex crossover undeniably stunning.
Standard features include LED headlights and darkened rear lights. A new graphics structure and dynamic turn signals are available for the tail light clusters in IQ LIGHT with LED matrix headlights along with an illuminated radiator grille strip.
Available for options, 17-inches and 19-inches alloy wheels are ready to spin with its three TSI and two TDI engines being offered. T-Roc churns out either 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed DSG powers the front axle.
The 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder engine has a maximum output of 81 kW (108 hp). The four-cylinder drives generate 110 kW (148 hp) as a 1.5-litre TSI. Meanwhile, 2.0-litre TSI runs 140 kW (187 hp).
The infotainment display varied to either 8.0-inches or 9.2-inches, which was designed like a tablet and placed on the new dash panel on a line sight of its latest 10.25-inches Digital Cockpit Pro behind the steering wheel.
The infotainment system includes the third generation of Modular Infotainment Toolkit (MIB3), We Connect Plus services, Online Voice Control and Streaming Services, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which can be integrated wirelessly into the control system via App-Connect Wireless.
With an upgraded styling for the multifunction steering wheel as part of the standard package, it adds up to the T-Roc’s intuitive control.
Interior wise, T-Roc offers premium fabric door trim and leatherette armrests in the Style and R-Line equipment line. Then, offering Nappa leather upholstery as an option and ArtVelours comfort seats.
The redesigned interior combines greater driving with advanced assist systems of IQ.Drive Travel Assist and Predictive Cruise Control allow assisted steering braking and acceleration to reach up to 210km/h.
T-Roc is well equipped to gather GPS and map data to control speed limit info, town boundary signs, junctions, and roundabouts.
