Citroen Presenting The Facelifted Citroen C5 Aircross For 2022
The all-new Citroen C5 Aircross has been given a facelift for 2022, almost five years after the pre-facelift model was introduced, with a new style and equipment.
The appearance of the facelifted C5 Aircross has a restyled front end with a more integrated lighting system, as opposed to the pre-facelifted version's distinctly two-tier setup. The full-width visual of the C5 Aircross' front fascia has been altered to include a pair of dotted lines that meet in the centre and are deduced from the DRLs within the headlamp assembly.
Meanwhile, the front bumper and intakes have been simplified, with the vertical ones now enlarged and more sculpted into the bumper, and the dual, contrast-colour rectangular units on the pre-facelift model have been replaced with a single, nearly full-width central intake and a slimmer, secondary unit above the licence plate. The foglamps are bookended with metal-look trim around the lower edge.
On the other hand, the A-pillars remain in a contrasting black finish as the facelift progresses, but the side mirror covers, which were formerly body-coloured, are now black as well. Lower door portions have black plastic cladding on the sides, with a trio of niches on each side. The first is in a contrasting colour, albeit in a metal-look finish.
On the inside, the dashboard of the facelifted C5 Aircross has been slightly redesigned, with a floating 10-inch infotainment display set atop air-conditioning vents that are now horizontally orientated. In contrast, the side air-conditioning vents remain vertically stacked.
The tail lamps have been changed from the previous quartet of rounded rectangular elements to a trio of staggered elements within each enclosure. The rear bumper has largely remained unchanged, with black plastic cladding featuring foglamps at the lower corners and a pair of slim exhaust outlets.
Also, you can find a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel that appears to have been carried over as well as a toggle-style selector. The multi-function leather-trimmed steering wheel has also been restyled, now of a more distinct three-spoke design.
Citroen has yet to provide powertrain specs, indicating that the pre-facelift engine lineup will be retained. This included petrol and diesel engines throughout Europe, all of which have been compliant with the Euro 6.2 emissions guideline from their debut in 2018.
The PureTech turbo 128.2 hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine and the 177.5ps 1.6 litres four-cylinder engine are available in petrol. In contrast, the 1.6 BlueHDI four-cylinder turbodiesel is available in 128.2 hp versions in diesel. There are two transmission options: a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic.
