On top of that, the event will be named under PETRONAS GRAND PRIX OF MALAYSIA starting this year onwards with the nation’s energy company becoming its official ambassador.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports: "We’re very happy to confirm that the Grand Prix of Malaysia will remain on the calendar until at least 2024. Malaysia is a vital market for MotoGP™ and it is a pleasure to race at Sepang and witness the incredible passion of the fans who fill the grandstands.

CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta said the company is looking forward to come back and race. With the recent announcement, the event is set to reschedule on October 21 to 23, 2022.

A new agreement established between Sepang International Circuit and Dorna Sports confirms the future of a Grand Prix in one of the field’s most passionate arenas.

“In line with our #WelcomeHome theme, this year is about the revival of international motorsports with more unique offerings to the fans." stated CEO of Sepang International Circuit, Azhan Shafriman Hanif.

To bring back memories, Sepang International Circuit or known as Home of Motorsports is popular for its state-of-art concept and prestigious motorsports events for example F1 Grand Prix that left astonishing experience to our fellow Malaysians as well.
