Hyundai IONIQ 5 Garnering Locals Attention

In Malaysia, Hyundai IONIQ 5 has exceeded nearly 400 total unit of bookings so far in the month of June 2022. 

The sales number hikes as Malaysian government has granted a tax-free incentive for EV starting from January 2022. 

Apart from that, those who’s planning to purchase an EV, there’s a free road tax starting from January 1st, 2022, to December 31st, 2025.

On top of that, EV owners that has paid for road tax after January 1st 2022, you get to claim a rebate from JPJ and concede the road tax sticker. Then, the owner or reps may apply for the motor vehicle license exemption. 

Just so you know, the applications were already opened from the 15th of February 2022.

Sad case as the futuristic IONIQ 5 is experiencing some delays in its shipment and longer waiting list has enraged their buyers and few would cancel their bookings and choose to have other brands EV instead.

Meanwhile in US, Hyundai Motor America stated that demand is going steady however the supply parts is trailing and expected to improve sooner or later. 

In total, Hyundai delivered nearly 11,000 units of IONIQ 5 in the US market which includes the 10,000 units sold in the previous months.
