Civil Servants To Benefit From Keluarga Malaysia Vehicle Insurance Financing Programme
Good news!
Civil servants will save nearly RM200 million in annual interest payments when renewing their motor insurance through the Keluarga Malaysia Vehicle Insurance Financing programme.
Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stated that the programme will initially cover approximately 1.6 million permanent and contract civil servants before being expanded to the private sector by the end of the year.
For the record, Ismail Sabri announced the implementation of the Keluarga Malaysia Vehicle Insurance Financing Program insurance for civil servants on May 1st, in conjunction with Labour Day.
“The government has made the promise a reality”, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The vehicle insurance programme will be expanded to cover government-linked companies (GLCs) and the private sector soon, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
“We have also agreed to expand the programme to include government-linked companies (GLCs), government-linked investment companies and the private sector in the near future,” he added.
The Social Security Organisation funded the syariah-compliant programme with RM100 million in collaboration with MyAngkasa Amanah Bhd (MAAB) and A Tech Insure Sdn Bhd (ATech).
Civil servants can renew or purchase vehicle insurance online at MyezyCover.com, which offers up to ten months of interest-free payments and can have it deducted from their monthly salary as payment.
