One burnt to death in four-vehicle accident on EDL Highway

A victim was burnt to death in an accident involving four vehicles near the Permas Jaya Bridge, EDL Highway, Pasir Gudang, early this morning.
Three vehicles—a BMW, a Perodua Myvi, and a Honda City—as well as a van used by Nissan manufacturing workers were involved in the collision, according to Mohd Suhaimi Jamal, the head of the Larkin Fire and Rescue Station (BBP).
He claimed that the victim, who remains unidentified at time of writting, was found trapped and burnt to death in the BMW.
“The Operations Response Team (PKO) arrived on site and discovered a fire involving a BMW and a Nissan factory worker van that were 90% burnt as well as a Honda City that apparently was not affected by the fire.”
"A total of 13 members were mobilized to the location with the help of BBP Johor Jaya to put out the fire," he said.
“The PKO used two streams of supplemental water supply and water from a machinery pump tank to put out the fire.”
"PKO removed the victim and handed the body over to the police for further action," he added.
Mohd Suhaimi said the drivers of the Honda City and Perodua Myvi, men aged 34 and 52 respectively, were safe.
