Rawang Bypass To Be Temporarily Shut Down On Sunday, July 31

The Rawang Bypass will be temporarily closed to all traffic on July 31 to make way for the Selangor Bypass Half Marathon 2022 event.

The Selayang Municipal Council (MSP) announced that it will be closed for 12-hour from 12 midnight to 12 noon.

Residents of Rawang/Serendah or those who travel north on Federal Route 1 should be aware of this and arrange their routes accordingly to prevent any disruption.

“This closure is to make way for the Selangor Bypass Half Marathon 2022. Please use alternative routes and plan your journey in advance,” said the local council on Facebook.

Alternative routes will be the PLUS North South Highway or the traditional way of going into Rawang town and passing the many traffic lights before you reach Serendah.

The Selangor Bypass Half Marathon 2022 is organised by the state executive councilor for youth and sports development office.

The competition begins at 3am and involves the 21 kilometres (km) and 12 km categories.
