A new interchange in Nilai is set to begin construction next year, aiming to ease heavy traffic from Senawang to Kuala Lumpur.
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the project, <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/ms/2025/11/kesesakan-dari-senawang-kl-bakal-selesai-tidak-lama-lagi" target="_blank">connecting the PLUS Highway to the Nilai-Labu-Enstek (NLE) route</a>, was approved under the Malaysia Vision Valley plan and will be fully funded by the Federal Government.

"The project will be funded by the Federal Government, and detailed planning is still being finalised,” he said in a Kosmo report.The 18KM NLE, now under construction, is expected to be completed by July 2026. Once ready, it will serve as an alternative route for motorists heading north or into Kuala Lumpur, helping to ease congestion along the North-South Expressway.

Aminuddin, who is also Port Dickson MP, said the project will not only smoothen daily commutes but also spur growth in nearby areas like Labu and Enstek.

Malaysia and China are in talks to set up a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to lead a new Railway Industry Empowerment Programme <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/08/ets3-kuala-lumpurkluang-set-to-roll-out-on-aug-30" target="_blank" style="">involving the leasing of passenger trains.</a> The Transport Ministry said both governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 16 <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/11/rts-link-65-complete-first-train-arriving-this-month" target="_blank" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">to boost cooperation in the railway sector. </a> <span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">The programme will be carried out under a government-to-government (G2G) arrangement, with the SPV managing its implementation.

“The government has, in principle, agreed to implement the Railway Industry Empowerment Programme through the leasing of passenger trains under a G2G arrangement between the government of Malaysia and the government of the People’s Republic of China,” the ministry said in a written reply in Parliament on Nov 5. It added that the <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/04/malaysia-is-ready-for-pan-asian-railway-network-loke" target="_blank" style="">SPV will be structured so that a Malaysian government-owned company holds 51% of the shares.</a>

 Wan Agyl noted that while the rule requiring express buses to operate only from terminals like TBS was designed to ease congestion, it has become impractical for today’s travellers. “TBS is 13 kilometres from the city core, and passengers often spend nearly an hour getting to KLCC or Bukit Bintang,” he said, calling for trained marshals and designated loading zones instead of blanket bans.Public transport advocate Ajit Johl shared similar views, warning that TBS is already near capacity.

“The law is the law, but a way forward must be found. We hope the suspension can be lifted while discussions take place to reach a solution that benefits all parties,” he said in the same report by the daily news portal.The suspension came after the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) ordered luxury coach operator Aeroline to halt trips from Nov 6 to Dec 5 for operating from unauthorised mall locations such as Corus KLCC, 1 Utama and Sunway Pyramid instead of TBS.Meanwhile, retail, hotel and tourism associations said the ban could severely hurt local tourism and retail recovery. The BB-KLCC Tourism Association, Malaysia Association of Hotels, Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners and Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (PPK) said in a joint statement that about 20,000 passengers use these mall-based coaches monthly, connecting directly to major malls and hotels.

They warned that suspending around 500 buses could disrupt travel, hurt year-end spending and undo years of promotional work by Tourism Malaysia ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.“Coach passengers contribute to spending through shopping, dining and entertainment.
